Service Description

In this multi-level workshop, we will explore doubles shapes and spins on the pole, with some trick options requiring one person to hold some or all of another person's bodyweight. Some tricks will be on the lower half of the pole, while others will be higher up. This doubles workshop is beginner friendly for those who have little or no experience with doubles, but options for more experienced pole dancers will be offered. You must have some experience in pole dance prior to this workshop. Inverting is not required, but upside down tricks may be offered to those with more advanced pole skills. About Sylvia: Sylvia Louis is an award winning international circus aerialist and pole artist based in Victoria. She is a BC and Canadian pole sport champion, international aerial silks champion, former aerialist with Cirque du Soleil and graduate of the National Circus School in Montreal. She has performed solo, duo and group acts around the globe on pole, flying pole, aerial silks, aerial hoop, trapeze, aerial sphere, rope, bungee, hammock and adagio. Sylvia has also been a pole and aerial judge at numerous competitions with Pole Sport Organization and Brazil's National Pole Championship, as well as previously being a certified judge for International Pole Sport Federation. Sylvia has represented Canada at numerous Pole World Cups, World Championships and Pan American Championships; she finished 6th in her final World Cup Championships and 5th at the Pan Am Championships. Her duo pole act, "Aeria Duet" has performed in Canada, USA and Mexico.
